ramblins

Randomness for your Friday-liscious endeavors ~

  1. People who use turn signals are underlined and bolded in my cool book. Those who don't, get the Hernando leg lift & squirt.
  2. 23t cassettes are just stupid. There is no reason not to have at least a 25t for da vast majority o' rides n' races.
  3. My 11t cassette got used for a grand total of 4 minutes last year. The whole year, yo.
  4. mcSassy broke my heart with his rePubelickan admittance.
    ... poor misguided youth.

I recommend taking the time to plot in your persuasions here. You might be surprised.

btw, I'm leftier than the GhandiLama

  5. methinks I've figured out how to break through to the SandyCruz bikers. Normal-like, I just throw out the waves to fellow pedalers viewed during my ridey-ride sessions.

But, these SC-folks never seem to look at you to receive the good-natured goof-oscity. I been wavin', but they ain't been seein' ~ let alone acknowledgin'.

    hmmm...

And then, this morning I think I broke the code and got a glimpse into the SoCool attitude of the SC riders. As a euro-dudley was clippin' along on the opposite side of today's tarmac, I did my normal wave and got no head turn, no nod, and certainly no returning wave. I was dead to him.

But then, I happened to glance back at him just after he made the pass out of the peripheral ... and lo! There he was - checkin' me out, lookin' me over, snatchin' a glimpse.

    aha!

And so, the next rider came through same said scenario and I held my wave, held it, held it ... just until he passed through the peripheral and then, WHAM!

I hit him with a wave just as he did the look back to catch what steed I was stallioning and what curvature the calf'ies were throwin' down.

silly SantyCruzers. But, he got waved to and I almost got a surprised spasm of hand movement in response.

    maybe next time.

Hey!

Do you have any idea of how much redneck I was raised to be????

And isnt the first step to recovery admitance, come on man I'm being vulnerable here.

My current position is that People suck, politics suck and people in politics = mass suckage.

First I think, then I go with my heart.

Ya-all aught to know by now I'm not all dat Repukican.

: )

And, I love the biker wave. I try to be cool like that. BUT, Lora is a like a freakin parade princess I dont think there is anyone she passes without the wave.

Yo H, MN waves so come on out. We even wave with thick-ass ski gloves on our frozen fingers.

Basically if you triangulate between stalin, hitler and ghandi, I'm about dead center. Wonder what that means?

SGP: it means you're a gawdamn lawyer

VDog: if you're doin' the SC crit, i won't see you. if you're doin' the xc down at the overpopulated Otter - i'll have the cowbells on, so stop by and drink a brew with me.

I'm on my way to being Nelson Mandela.

Now if I can just figure out a way to profit from that and force my thinking on the people I'll be set.

Oh wait, thats the redneck popping back up.

I'm confused, as is normal for me.

Oh, man. Was there a question about critical mass in there? Because I'm all for that and OV isn't, that must be why I hate the man even more than he does-

On a non political note - I ride a 29 all the time - my knees love me for it. ,most of the time. The non hand wave drives me nuts too, I guess you need to save the all important aerobic energy, BTW I hit left throw right

I don't think I was lower because the local ruralness was rubbing off on me. Still, it's nice to know I'm the complete opposite of the W.

Are you telling me you would not have liked to have an 11 going down Altamont with a 35 MPH tailwind?

I find if I need a 25 in races, I probably should just go home. Of course I have zero lung capacity but strong legs.
