VB: What's this about a car you have for sale?

Velo Bella said...

my cute little gti is for sale. I love that car. But I never drive it and its been sitting in my front yard (which I guess is something that inevitably happens to people when they move out to the country)We finally put a new battery in it and its up for sale.

That car is so awesome that after sitting under the redwoods through summer and winter for a year, it started right up. (after the new battery of course)

Olaf gets some last night! that is the big news

Olaf does a strong attack up the base of the skirt climb

out of the saddle he is pounding, pounding pounding

his significant other is sweating and surging as if she was riding round and round at, give it hell-yer track

more, more more, she cries out, screaming as if telling Olaf to hold his line

and then all of a sudden olaf goes down...........and she loves it, as his hard shell helmet is seemingly crushed between her powerful thighs

its is going to come down to a sprint for the line

and at the finish it is a tie as they both lay arm in arm and with neither of the two having enough energy after that ruff and tumble rumble session to give a victory salute

Now that is how Olaf throws it down

What is this, "open mike night" at Hernando's Lounge?

I found that so offensive that I kept reading! :)

"crushed between powerful thighs"

Ut Oh. The Beth effect is creeping in.

your missing all the drama on the Hellyer list.....

no worries though, I am missing it too....

It is being Moderated.....

WarrenG said...

Drama is right. Ugh.

The NCVA list is essentially where it was before... http://groups.google.com/group/ncva

...but people have to sign-up again because Marc basically stole the previous list, and it definitely wasn't his to steal. I think John Simmons will post about this on Friday after the BOD meeting.

I've been asked to manage the NCVA list for the time being, but that likely won't mean "moderate" anything unless somebody posts the URL for OV's boudoir cam, and that's only because the (list) server couldn't handle the load.

Velo Bella said...

It switched again?

Ugh, I can't keep up. And the us vs them thing going on is both fascinating and repulsive. But eventually, divisive and harmful.

There are lots of newcomers on that list scratching their heads at all of this. Me included.

Warren,

Please don't talk bad on Marc, he's given back more to the track community than you have, Including picking up pieces of the track list when Art left.

Velo Bella said...

Like, arguing about the damn email list of all things.

For real...arguing about the email list?

wow.

Meanwhile, the email url is tossed to and fro resulting in confusion for those who are just trying to find out what kinds of races are going to be held this Wednesday....

WarrenG said...

I think the "argument" about the email list is whether any one person (in this case, Marc) should have the right to censor and filter (he has done that recently) the flow of information and discussion for the NCVA members, particularly when there is an election soon.

I think we elect the BOD members to do what they (as a group) think is in our best interests, so we should trust them to oversee the NCVA discussion list. Marc has (so far)refused to allow the BOD to do that.

Whoever wrote the anonymous comment recounting Olaf getting some last night seems to know a little too much about his personal moves. Or was it VB? Nonetheless, it is very interesting!

Velo Bella said...

well, now there are two lists, with Beth looking for a ride on one and the Wednesday program on another. And who knows what all that other stuff is.

Isn't there like, some grown up way of solving this?

Anonymous said...

There is some serious moderation going on. It is scary and bullshit. Even very neutral, seemingly positive comments are being removed. Like the fucking Bush administration. If it is truely Marc doing this he is displaying very poor judgement and should not be in a position of power. Hoe do we really know who it is? As someone who will vote I WANT TO KNOW WHO THE FUCK IS MODERATING. Hope you do not moderate this....

Anonymous said...

That was some exciting stuff about olaf getting some, but they need to relax about the track e mail info and just let folks sort it out for themselves, there has got to be a mature way of handleing this drama.

i would like all BOD candidates to include their quad measurements in their statements.

Hooptie said...

How about some crit Nats speculation. McCook looks to be making the short list after Elk Grove.

WarrenG said...

For clarity...
Marc is the moderator/whatever of the Hellyer Velodrome list, and yes, he is still not allowing some posts/emails that I've seen. For now, I am managing the NCVA list and I haven't "moderated" any posts there.

Marc's done a bunch of good stuff for the track community over the years and this seems out of character for him.

The NCVA BOD has a their monthly meeting on Thursday where they will be discussing this, and other items. I asked them to include the item of whether we should host masters nat's next year.

I like Beth's idea, but I hope that some candidates will not share the photos.

broxster said...

As this is a de facto hellyer discussion list, I think this statement from a past NCVA President should be widely distributed. It was posted through the hellyervelodrome email list this morning:

"The NCVA googlegroups list was never, repeat NEVER, the official voice
of NCVA. It has always been a means of communication between all
members of the track community. Marc Franklin has been generous to
continue owning and hosting the list.
Now, when he changes the name to ensure that no one thinks that the
list is the voice of the NCVA board and that everyone knows its actual
status as a community-wide message board, he gets jumped on by
otherwise-respected members of our community. Perhaps Marc could have
done the change more gracefully, but the instant assumption of bad
motives on his part that have emerged in some of these emails would
have fit comfortably in a chopper-owners rant list. Some of you owe
Marc an apology.
Mike Hardaway"

So, with that, can the "new" NCVA list please be combined with the hellyervelodrome list in a sensible manner?

And regarding moderation - regardless of which list we are on, we agree to certain conditions when joining such lists, such as the ability of the moderator to moderate the discussion.

Olaf can "censor" any of us should he wish - we agree to that as a condition of being able to comment.

Shoe covers save 1:20 in an 18 mile TT.

Looking at the Esparto TT pics I see that Metcalfe did 2 TT's, one with shoe covers, one without. He was 1:20 slower without shoe covers, so that proves scientifically that shoe covers make a huge difference.

I know what my next upgrade will be.

Oh you are white trash for sure. Dont flatter yourself thinking you are not. I was by your place and saw how trashy that little car and area is in front, and I almost cried thinking how trashy it all looked, that once was a fine nature area with beautiful plants and trees, now it is just a common trashy dwelling area. Maybe that the car is gone you can now clean up the rest of the mess please. Your neighbor,
