february keeps getting faster
with the Tour of Cali around the corner for the men, and the Merced NRC big shows on the horizon for them and the women ... the racing on the left coast is just stupid fast right now.
The town of Martinez threw down many a thousand for their crits this year ~ and even ridiculous amounts of water slicking up streets couldn't stop a damn good showing of riders.

Thats PABW/Tibco. Its Brooke, who won the race pretty handily. The first of two this weekend.
Sunday's win was even more impressive as she outsprinted the legendary Tina Pic and her 7 other Colavita teammates.

Jill returned to racing last season (with Touchstone).
Dam, Saturday was just absurd, I have not been dropped that fast since Nevada City 2 years ago. BIG props to Hernado and Jandy who came back from the dead and bridged themselves back into contention. VERY impressive.
I heard Cherry Pie made Saturday look like a EB Crit...full Colvita and Fast Freddy to boot. Thank god I sat that one out!
It looked fast! Nice work by Olaf and Jandy most certainly. They looked to be dropped and pulled it back, impressive.

I have to say, if it's not a VB winning a race, I do like to see Brooke win. When I was talking to her at Cherry about her win saturday, she couldn't stop talking about how great her teammates are. And she always looks so suprised and excited when she wins, as if she doesn't know she's a bad ass.

B.Miller is a complete badass and a very good person to have in the sport.

yah cant argue that. The tallest smurfette is a very tough competitor and a cool person. Not meant to be a slam on her at all.
She snagged lots of good results from some top competitors last year and shows some good potential to be up on some big names.
I know Jill did a few last year, but I honestly think this is her come back year... It's always good to have her back to make sure theres no slow races.
