stump the kazakh

predictions on the l'Huez gunfight tomorrow ... gimme.

me?

I'm goin' with Rujano. I know, that's just silly. But, I'm goin' with it.

with Landis in Yellow again ... wearin' that shit-kicker grin and yo'mama backwards hat.

crush the euro-poofters, Floyd, crush 'em.

I love how he wears his hat backwards on the podium! What a bad ass.

Tough call as to who will win, Rasmussen maybe but Rabo is supposed to be riding for Menchov. So maybe Menchov. But if Landis were to stamp his mark on the tour, maybe tomorrow would be that day. Should be fun... for us to watch.

I am going with Rasmussen to win the stage but all will finish not too far behind. Rasmussen will focus on KOM points definitely. The next two stages after that are wicked...

I'm not sure I like this idea of Rasmussen going for the polkies. Rabobank has a solid chance with Menchov. Thats where their focus should be. Not on stage wins or polka dots.

Besides, Rasmussen looks hideous in polka dots.

My pic for the win tomorrow is Landis.

so there.

I'm hoping Landis drops the hammer tomorrow!

I like the hat too but I think it's pretty calculated. Rumor has it that iShares will be the lead sponsor next year...conveniently across Floyd's forehead with the backward cap.

Rumor is true. Phonak is out and iShares is the new title sponsor for 2007. And yeah, I'm sure they logo'd the hat on the back specifically cause Kid Rock always wears his hat backwards.

i think leipheimer may have a shot as it appears from his rebound he's back on the juice. but unless an unthreatening break gets a big enough gap, i'm guessin' landis'll take this one.

TR: I have to think you might be on to something with Menchov as winning the stage.

It seems he has the best mountain top finish of the GC boys. But, I’m thinkin’ a breakaway takes it. Fun.

Flanders: Rasmussen doesn’t look that great this Tour … has he been layin’ low until these next 3 days?

VB: JaJa ruined the polka dots for everyone. He was just dreamy.

Rasmussen just looks like some KFC advert on meth.

Merkeleys: another vote for Landis, eh? Will Phonak … er, iShares chase throughout the day to set Landis up for a stage grab?

with the following days, I just dunno. I would.

Vgurl: schlep rock is rulin’ da fashion games.

Vdawg: I was considering LippyHeimer, too … but ~ he’s never actually gotten away solo on a major tour climb. And, we know what happens when he comes to the line with anyone else.

BBelf: bring it!

Jeddy: double bring it!

Not much time for a break to get away tomorrow or Wednesday before the climbing starts...and the climers only have three days to sort it all out.

No matter how it all shakes out it's going to be fun to watch!

Rasmussen in the early break over the mountains prior to the Alp D'Huey, but he will be swept up by Landis, Mench (not intentionally tugging the group), and my boy in Paris, Cadel Evans. Okay, maybe Cadel doesn't have the stuff as we witnessed toward the end of the last climb in the Basque region, but I put him on the top step of the podium, so I have to hope he blasts it tomorrow. And don't forget about Vladi Karpets, he could go as well.

Leipclimber has to make up for the sorry excuse for a podium shot TT.....

Rasmussen needs to get away for some more points, but with Landis playing it cooler than most would like Menchov has a god shot at getting lucky and Rasmussen will be busy babysitting.....

In the end Hiplis will win the stage since like most dominant americans, we seem to take all the fun out of it.....

I'm really thinkin Commesso's gonna go all Ja-Ja on us and get motorvated.

That said, I also think he's going to finish by COB with a janitor sweeping up behind him.

The Levi will take it to the bevy, and the heavies will start to cry.

I think with the "weakish" teams this year, stage 16 might be the more decisive stage. There may be some hesitation tomorrow for the GC guys. But, L'Alpe will do its owning sorting out. Otherwise, let the NASA rockets rip...booster rocket in reverse...I like how the 05 TdF Disco boys and 05 Liberties ala la Vuelta sent guys up the road sort of tag team like and then pushed the pace once the GC riders reached them. In this vein, look for perhaps Horner-Lotto, Juan A. Flecha, Weening-Rabo, DZ or O'Grady-CSC, and/or Phonaks Pena, Jalabert the younger or Merckx up the road waiting for their guy. Who might take the stage? Rujano-what a shit to his ex-Selle Italia team, is a good call. And then, anyone who can climb and is far enough down to get a long enough leash. I like Chechu. Leakiegas needs something, so Garzelli? And, I don't think Simoni can't be completely written off.

at my work...I work with geeks but not my kind of geeks...no one has a clue why I have the Flemish flag outside my cube, gazillion pictures of cylists, yelling at my computer at 8 in the morning...and today I am just not in a good mood because my boy just abandoned...they just have to deal with that...just like they have to deal with webex meetings with Tom on his blue spandex...
