i am pleased
my co-workers see me dance off at lunch in my skinny-minis and think i'm going to go enjoy the sun bikey-bikey style.
they talk to me of wished for time, or made time, to get out and exercise. and then they sigh and lament of the hikes used to be taken, runs used to be pounded, days used to be ....
and all i can think about ...
is how close i'm going to come to puking on that 6th hill repeat.
yeah ... it's plenty nice outside.
but i ain't seein' much of it today.

Pure truth.
I saw stars
i am very pleased.
and you will be rewarded.
Totally.
The office folks: "you rode how far at lunch?"
Me: "It was a recovery day, we only went 25 Miles"
Well after the field trip with the kiddies i finally got out for a couple hours of sunshine. Riding is a good reason to eat le french toast at 4:30 in the afternoon. Yum.
Some times the office folks have a hard time relating. My favorite line was delivered with no intended irony whatsoever.
Office person: "You're so lucky to be in good shape."
Yep, that's me out there suffering like a dog, trying to count my lucky stars.
It seems like plenty of people are confused about the differences between luck and choice.
Luck is not getting e coli poisoning, from eating fast food. Choice is eating a lunch of leftover spicy dhal and rice.
Luck is being born in California. Choice is deciding to live here.
Luck is winning the lottery. Choice is being a dirt poor bike racer.
B.

I agree
its all about choices
and for once I work at a place where I am not an oddball...well at least not in the biking sense
to quote a very wise friend of ours...
"I like bikey peoples"
