quick bitch

O'Neill positive for "diet suppressant" at Elk Grove this year.

"We are certain that this did not constitute a stimulant effect, but I do understand that there will be repercussions for this misjudgment," continued O'Neill. "I sincerely apologise to my Health Net team, my sponsors and my fans for this embarrassing situation."

yeah ... he was pretty sure there would be no "stimulant effect" from taking a diet drug before a 4.5km time trial.

uh huh.

and i'm sure he's a great guy.

Phentermine, like many other prescription drugs, works with neurotransmitters in the brain. It is a centrally-acting stimulant and is a constitutional isomer (not to be confused with stereoisomer) of methamphetamine. It stimulates neuron bundles to release a particular group of neurotransmitters known as catecholamines; these include dopamine, epinephrine (also known as adrenalin), and norepinephrine (noradrenaline).

... performance enhancer.

I'm surprised there isn't more testing (esp. at NRC races).

Should they take his winnings and wins away? yes!

I'll stick to my Ho-Ho's and ice cream.

Yeah, like you need to take an appetite suppressant in the middle of a stage race to....suppress your appetite.

i took diet pills in college to stay up all night and write awful term papers.

Does this mean I can't take ketamine anymore? I officially want my 112th place in all races against him to be corrected to 111th.

norcalcyclingnews.com said...

ketamine?

only for those special occassions.

and you definitely get bumped up to 111th.

check is in the mail.

Why take a banned stimulant when caffeine is legal for those who want such a boost?

Anonymous said...

if they strip him of his points, does BJM get to move up and become the NRC winner?

norcalcyclingnews.com said...

interesting re: NRC points. hmmm.

why diet drug (pussy's speed) vs caffeine ...

Fat burning supplements, Muscle building supplements, blood boosting supplement(the legal kind!), Sleep aids, aminos, training plans, and a coach. AN 8 time australian national TT champ...and local badass Nathan Oneill."

cat 3 domination? Does that mean middle of the pack cat 2?

does the uci rule about doping offenses during a series apply? i'm thinking of the rule they used to dq diluca from the pro tour series. because if it does, say b'bye to the nrc overall, for sure.

what a dumbass

Nathan did not win the NRC.

More importantly...it's a masking drug.

Nathan did not win the NRC.

Right, his team did though, I believe ;-)

Anonymous said...

He took a lot of money out of Slipsteams pockets at Elk Grove (where he tested positive). For that matter he has been talking $ out of other riders pockets for a long time.

Jen - You're right on. The NRC winner was O'Neill's teammate, Rory Sutherland. Interesting...3 of the top 5 guys are Health Net riders.

Next we will find out he got his drugs from his sponsor.
What a maroon.

whatever punishment he gets won't be enough to repay all those he has cheated.

Shit! I thought ketamine was like crank. That explains a lot. I chalked all those weird feelings up to oxygen debt. Now I'm wondering if the rest of the stuff my trainer gave me really just is flax seed oil. He's fired!

I was with him and he really had too much of a hunger going on, and he really needed to control that hunger so he took the stuff thinking it would control his hunger.

I really think you all are over reacting.

He is a good guy and I am surprised you are all not defending him, I know that his team mates all have used the same hunger knocker as he did, and you all kiss up to their ass when you talk to them.

It is not nice to write such trash about the guy when you do not know exactly what went down his throat. His team mates have all done the exact same thing. Even Lance Armstrong has used the same stuff, and Floyd Landis, and Tyler Hamilton.

mmm.. dougnuts!!!!

norcalcyclingnews.com said...

what he took is banned.

hello?

what's to misunderstand? so, eat a fucking sandwich and satisfy that "hunger knock."

what he took is a PERFORMANCE ENHANCER for short time trials.

such rationalizing bullshit.

did O'Neill make a mistake and he's really the cat's meow and walks school children across streets?

bully for him.

take the stuff, pay the penalty.

Did he get this prescription from the quack doctor on The Simpsons?

That is the most stupid fucking thing I've ever heard.

soooooooooo

you were with him and know he used it, and know his teammates were doping too??????

yeah you definitely made me way more sympathetic with your comment.....

When a supermodel gets hungry they take care of it with a cigarette and a Tic-Tac. This is why we don't see them getting suspended 2 years for doping.

HEY! DAMN IT!
I am not a performance enhancing drug, I am a victim here.
I mean, I got swallowed and digested like some piece of meat and expected to handle this asshole's metabolism.
Oh, and let me tell you about assholes, this guy needs an enema!

Even vinokurov uses a hunger knocker pill, it is no big deal, I dont know why everyone is all over O'neil for taking the pill.

FYI- According to my PhD friend, "that is straight up amphetamine. No joke. Who's he trying to kid?"

3 of 5 HN riders in top 5? Off the top of my head, O'Neill, Sutherland, and O'Bee have all been popped.

I would hope that HN would just pack that program in. Fucking hypocritical cheating pricks with maybe a couple exceptions.
