Are you saying that man in black is our man Michael? I hear he got really hurt not so long ago. Hmph. Must be some mutant healing factor.

Meant to ask, Mr. H, are you able to shoulder a 'cross bike with that, uh, shoulder? I found it was not a happy thing to try, but your injury may be different.

that's maurice on top of the Bellas (mmm...), who is the cutest hipster-ballet-tracksprinter on the block.

DDT - i haven't tried shouldering the cx bike yet, though it is lovely to ride nowadays. my break (as well as jeffe's) is on the left, making the shouldering no problema in a few weeks.

but, i hardly ever shoulder a cx bike anyway. for me, it's much faster to just run that stupid thing.

this weekend saw me riding my first long'ish effort - 3 hours with a decent amount of climbing with the Salinas gumbas.

it was killer.

it's a good thing i didn't qualify for elite track natz that one weekend when i forced Vince Gee to do the madison with me. if i'd have qualified, i'd probably have to give serious thought on whether to hit the Natz in LA for the scratch race.

ah well.

unfortunately, track natz will likely be east of here by a few k's next year. booooo.

dag, olaf knows everything.

I don't think the location of elite track nat's will change next year. An indoor 250 is the requirement now.
