saw doc
Ortho appointment today ~ went a little something like this ...
-
Doc: go downstairs and get a couple shots of that shoulder and wrist.
me: ok ...
[17 minutes later]
Doc: yeah, these look good. can't even see the break in that clavicle. give me your wrist.
[palpate, turn, shake]
any pain?
me: No.
Doc: ok, how much can you move your arm?
[me movey-movey]
all-right. Looks good, get rid of the sling, keep that wrist brace on for another 2 weeks, come back and see me in a month.
me: um, ok. should i do any PT?
Doc: Why? save the money and keep doing what you're doing - couldn't ask for any better results.
[running down stairs]
me: where's my bike?

Wo hoo!!
Get right out on your bike. It must have been the hill intervals you did the other day. I'd say go do some more.
You gotta love doctor's appointments like that.
haha. you showed him. when will doctors finally learn that athletes are superheros and require half the time to heal?
i think one of our doctors is a quack....
and bunny thinks you fibbed when he asked "does this hurt?"
I think the doctor got a padded handshake at the beginning of the appt. :)
yay for the good report card!!
Hey Mike...
Glad your doing well!
I was going to up-grade
to a three... I guess I'll
stay a four.
Keep getting better!
Are the recoveritas, or in this case the celabritas flowing yet. I could use one after the windy 4 hours I just put in ;P
Looks like I got the wrong doctor....three more weeks with the cast. I went out and rode after the appointment.....it was great. See you at the races.
Road Montebello today and coming into a great morning vista I felt a bit of guilt. Two of my teammates are still unable to enjoy this stuff yet. Well, that does it! I now only have 1/2 the guilt. Crank it up Mike, make them all believers.
Thanks for the shout out on the Lion of Fairfax. There's also a nice artilce / mention of the race on page 2 of the Marin IJ sports today.
Brian
You probably should just start showing up at races with a cape. That, or do your hair like the Wolverine due to your incredible healing powers.
