gasp!

The Floyd cracks for 9+minutes???

why did i choose this day to make it to work (almost) on time.

gawdamn Kloden better not win this Tour.

oh, the drama.

is Periero going to withstand the onslaught? He only lost a minute and change to Kloden in the first TT.

Phonak hands him the Tour? crazy talk.

I'm stunned! What the hell just happened?

i missed the coverage, but when i left home (with Sabine curled up in a sweet little blanket) Floyd was riding near the back of a sizable group up over the Glandon.

I'm thinking nutrition was the culprit. Axel was hovering on and off the back and I can't help but think Floyd didn't get enough food & drink.

then again ... he could have just cracked.

wow.

that's some drama. tomorrow should be insanity.

Man, that was difficult to watch. His cadence was like 4.

the way he cracked, it had to have been food, water, or illness that beat him.

gotta agree Vdog. as Gin said, cadence of 4.

that's utter bonkage.

what a Tour

~ for the afficianados.

Overall
1. Oscar Pereiro Sio (Sp), Caisse d'Epargne-I.B.
2. Carlos Sastre (Sp), CSC, at 1:50
3. Andréas Klöden (G), T-Mobile, at 2:29
4. Cyril Dessel (F), Ag2r Prevoyance, at 2:43
5. Cadel Evans (Aus), Davitamon-Lotto, at 2:56
6. Denis Menchov (Rus), Rabobank, at 3:58

Well as a chronic underdog rooter, I've gotta have a soft spot for Dessel to bring one home for the Frenchies.

i read in the interview with him that he said he just cracked - nothing to do with nutrition, sickness, bonking, etc. crazy. what a bummer.

just listened to flandis' interview on velo news.com

that guy has class...he made no excuses, just said he had a bad day, like we all do from time to time.

said he's proud of his team and really happy for oscar p.

oh, and he needs some beer.
