Stickin the tubies on (gracias proteges) for the racing this weekend, overheard some NPR gossip...

some body said that the average aMerican watches 5.5 hours of tv a day.

who knows what the real numbers are, but still...

holey shyte.

why?

  1. it's easy
  2. it's a great baby sitter
  3. it's easy
  4. it distracts
  5. it's easy
  6. we learn what's funny
  7. it's easy
  8. we learn what's happening out there
  9. it's easy
  10. we learn what's pretty, what's fashionable, what's true
  11. it is easy

A quarter of a life in front of a box...which, I suppose, would be half of a waking life.

...if all that time is spent sucking from the tube, what are we not doing?
