Keepin' it Fresh

Ya'll know i'm a little sweet on the Frishkorn ... he's got a new piece out on VelosNewz.

he makes reference to a bloggie-log ... hmmm, gonna have to go search that one out, i reckon.

this guy knows how to tap that keyboard.

US World's Team

Elite Men
George Hincapie (Discovery Channel), David Zabriskie (Team CSC), Bobby Julich (Team CSC), Christian Vande Velde (Team CSC), Jason McCartney (Discovery Channel), John Devine (Discovery Channel), Tyler Farrar (Cofidis) and Danny Pate (Slipstream-Chipotle)

Elite Women
Kristin Armstrong (Team Lipton), Amber Neben (Flexpoint), Christine Thorburn (Webcor Builders), Mara Abbott (Webcor Builders), Tina Pic (Colavita-Sutter Home-Cooking Light), Lauren Franges (Team Lipton) and Katheryn Curi (Webcor Builders)

Peter Stetina (Slipstream-Chipotle), Craig Lewis (Slipstream-Chipotle),Tejay Van Garderen (VMG Racing), Max Jenkins (California Giant) and Tom Peterson (Slipstream-Chipotle)

Farrar could get a top-5 in that field sprint this year. Neben, Armstrong, and Thorburn ... would a sweep of the TT be too much to ask for? And the US is sending Alison Powers for the TT, too. For the men, I doubt Zabriskie has the form that got him the silver last year ... but, who knows what he's been tinkering with these past few weeks since he barely edged out the locals for the US Title.

Go Max.

steven coza should be on that list, despite a mid season concussion he should be on the squad, its his last year as U23 and his comeback performances of late have been outstanding

tim duggan is riding the ITTs fast...why no duggan???

the U23 list? the only thing that I can think of is that USA cycling bosses are trying to develop some depth and add to new guys to the world's experience or save money...some of those U23 guys listed are in europe now

awesome for the women...lot of lcoal norcals...good for ms. pic topping 40 now and jeannie longo, racing age 49!

Regarding the Elite women...
3 Webcor riders on the squad of 7.

Something in the back of my mind is reminded of the VeloNews pre-season special, and Kristin Armstrong's prognosticating. As I recall, she thought that WebCor could be solid, but was lacking depth. Riiiiiiggghhhht.
