what a media storm this is going to be.

the kids at VN are peeing their pants they were finally able to break it, i reckon.

oh man ... here was the scandal we knew had to happen.

talk about drama for tomorrow's big stage.

Klabammo. But why couldn't it wait until after the tour when he is out of the jersey? We'll get shots of yellow jersey and stories of drugs. Sure, let him be shown for being a liar, but this is almost like everyone is tripping over each other to eat their young.

poor lil pecker

what's missing for our little drama to unfold?...we got drugs, rock n roll n, now we need sex for a real time drama rama.

I vote for mor Thor...something like he posed for playgirl when he was u23.

It's not that big of a deal. He's going to lose both jerseys this year.
His early effort was a tactical mistake...too early in the race.
He won't be allowed to escape to pick up anymore climbing points, and he is going to lose the yeller in the TTs.

Watch..you will see. Drugs or no drugs, he bet it all and will lose it all.

The kid from Barlow World? Tour Spoiler I think. He has long legs(levers), I bet he can rip off a decent TT. I am anxious to see him in the stages to come.

From the Victor Borge memorial online-Danish dictionary, based in Solvang, CA:

"Wake me up when something real happens.

No more accusations, please.

This is low-down sneaky."

hmmm....anyone catch the chicken-dopers suck connection?

look who works at boulder cycle sport:

http://bouldercyclesport.com/page.cfm?pageID=57

and you know D.S. is the alter ego of BCS .... so how long have they been using this info as fuel for the dopers suck fire???

I hope in a crazy twist Vino's knee goes "uber-septic", he has to have it removed, and he then wins the next mountain stage one-legged while beating down dopers with his amputated limb...of course that would only be homeresque (the greek guy, not the cartoon) if he wasn't a doper...which is questionable

holy shit I'm starting to sound like Matt Decanio at www.su13.us

Ron Castia said...

Jewford,
I really don't think Nemu had anything to do with it.

Anonymous said...

Yeah that guys(i mean kid) long legs from Barloworld are just as tall as Nome Agusta. Nome would make it right up to his upper thighs if they were standing next to eachother. Nome sizes all the guys legs up on the Augusta length scale.

Anonymous said...

After the TT it will either be Evans or Kloden sporting the bright yellow jersey. And Sastre will put big time into Valverde and Contador.

Little_Jewford said...

"I really don't think Nemu had anything to do with it."

hmmmm....word on the street is that Nemu blew the whistle on that "Colorado guy" via Tugboat

boulder dog park dope scandals ... excellent

anyway, at this point my old favorite Hunter won a stage so I'm happy. I'm taking the baseball approach for the rest of the tour...I'm going to root for some good racing (not any particular racer) and not give a shit about doping..

also, I'm surprised nobody mentioned hit but isn't it pretty fucked up that people are willing to inject themselves with un-approved blood altering medications? Ok, I'm not but jeeze...

dr-nitro said...

Unfortunately, Chris, the low down and sneaky response is exactly what many cheaters will hide behind. That said, I do think that the fight against doping needs to be based on cold hard evidence. GIve me the mylar bag with the cows' blood. I suspect that this accusation is on the up and up, but again, the timing sucks. This should have come out then, or at least after the Tour.

Doing it now ties it to the Tour, when it is not clear to me that the Tour should be responsible for this. I do think the Tour is being hypocritical about Riis' jersey, seeing that Viranque admitted to doping, and they had certainly turned a blind eye to doping in the past, but this was an affair that had nothing to do with the race.

Richards said that he was concerned for the cyclists in the Tour that are trying to change the sport, doing it clean, but I think that this does them harm.

dr-nitro said...

LJ, why would you be surprised. Junkies will do just about anything to get a fix.

Little_Jewford said...

Dr Nitro said:
"Junkies will do just about anything to get a fix."

and the chicken sure as hell looks like a junkie....maybe we can get him on the reality show "intervention" ... of course who in the peleton could we get to be his support group? It prob. would turn into an experimental animal drug injection fest....

I miss fat Jan .... at least he was a somewhat round and clownlike doper...

If the chicken is the pinnacle of an athletic cycling body, then I want to be a couch potatoe.

Did Dan Quayle write that last post?

Pretty good translation of my Danerlandish though.

The Danes at the ToC thought Solvang was freaking halvtosset.

I'm down with BCS but this is way too strategic. Where was this news in '05?

Dopers suck. And sometimes People Suck.

"Where was this news in '05?"

Rasmussen will keep the yellow jersey all the way to Paris.

dr-nitro said...

Not unless he joins Sunier Duval.

pedro said...

he may not keep it... but he has a chance to have it in paris if the two mt. top pyrennean stages trump the two tt's.

but drugs? in cycling? the yellow jersey? the great controversy would be any of the tour riders not using something, cause they all are.

shock and awe... nope.

dr-nitro said...

Holy Bakawwwk!

Brent said...

uh, who knew the chicken could be top Tt contender?

must be that yellow jersey...

Anonymous said...

Sastre took it to Valverde in the TT just like me and Olaf predicted. He just could not keep up with Contador. So Olaf was half right but I was right the entire time.

Anonymous said...

Nome Agusta good prediction about Rassmusen.
He held on to yellow with time to spare.
To all the chicken haters, it is time you go eat some pork!

Vino is going to get so dropped on the climbs following the TT.

Vino did a good ride but he has been dropped on every climb so far and that will not change!

Anonymous said...

So much for a fine vintage year of Vino. Things went quite sour. Now it looks like the only thing tasty on the menu is a chicken and another bird contador.

Anonymous said...

why is it Nome Agusta and Olaf Vanderhoot make the worst predictions and have the most to write about cyclists who blow them away with class and style and strength. I think these two fellas are the most arm chair quaterbacks I have seen. They put down riders who really are riders and not wanna be riders, it just is wrong.
just enjoy the show and dont be such cry babies.

Anonymous said...

Rassmusen showed he is the man, can he hold on? It will be very interesting racing. I think Rassmusen will get even more time on the final Mtn top finish. Or he could have a bad day. But lets face it, when push comes to shove Rassmusen has been doing all the shoving in this Tour.

Today was only an appetizer for a few seconds of loss or gain. Going too hard yesterday and today was not so fruitful, but Wednesday's stage offers minutes for those who are ready.

Ron Castia said...

The race isn't over yet.
The chicken is looking cooked while on the podium. Contador is perky and alive.

I still say he looses both jerseys.
