hi there idiot boy, meet mr. curb
me and another boy off the front in the crit today. 50/50 chance at the win is pretty good odds in my book.
riding comfortably, gap growing, cohesive work between the two.
CLIP ... skid ... BANG!
-
instant karma is a bitch, ya'll.
busted body, busted bike ... and then my brudda jeffe did a sympathy slide to join me in the dunce's corner.
we're like ... boyfriends n' stuff.

sigh

this is beyond coincidence...heal fast...
luv,
the kitty people
You busted your new ride? Ouch.
Nothing more serious on you than some bumps bruises or scratches, I hope.
i needed you out there dragging the field around and keeping me from being off the front, nick.
hips and right wrist will prolly get x-rayed tomorrow ... or, i might just decide i can't be bothered.
i don't deal well with injuries.
ignore the pain ... sometimes it can bite you in the coccyx.

thanks kitty people!
Well, my fight for the bear jersey happens down here with the socal cycling sluts.
Coming down this way to do laps around my town in a coupla weeks, body permitting?
i think i have to, regrettably, miss the big crit down in SLO-town.
kickin' myself.
even if i went down there, i'd be on the mic and not on the tarmac.
but, i've got races to do up in the NorCal ... so, will miss out.
you and Dirk tear that shit up, yo.
I hope you two heal quickly... we need your enthusiasm at the track! Rest up.
Ouch!! Big time bummer. Hope you and pab heal fast.
Don't you EVER do that again
at least not right in front of me.
And I was speechless when I learned Jeffe crashed too.
damn, that just makes you look crazy...
the above post was me, vb
hope you heal up quickly!!!!!!!!!! Get some R&R...
Ouch. I hope your injuries are minor. Bikes can be fixed. Ride dirt, it's softer. Cheers, swiggboss.
ow
ow ow ow
happy healings to both bashed bagboys, at least one of 'em knows a good doctor
hm, engineering project: airbag for cyclists? that deploys out of a flower-like device attached to back of helmet...
between having his left arm in a sling and being on some serious painkillers, jeffe is having more trouble than usual getting more of his food in his mouth than on his lap
xrays tomorrow--we'll get him fixed up
upon further inspection, the helmet and trek frame are not fixable
and sabine, i have no idea how you managed to make that long drive home--i think i'm going to have to stop 3 times to be able to stay awake to get us home tomorrow
kisses
we love you
I slept a little on the way home. Somewhere between Stockton and Patterson.
I am so sorry to hear about Jeffe's crash.
I don't think Michael's bike survived either.
You know, Michael wasnt wearing glitter. I think I need to keep an emergency supply on hand...
We don't have the serious painkiilers at home, but the Gin and Tonics seem to be doing the trick.
Thank you for taking care of all of us.
i felt a little bad that i hadn't gotten to michael in time for glitter, but jeff did have some so i guess that's the end of the 'safety glitter' term....from now on it's just for looks
but i'll get you a bottle
i told jeff he had a choice between the painkillers and the tequila....today he picked the painkillers but tomorrow it may be tequila
i think we are getting too used to having banked turns.
or, perhaps we are just dunces.
stupid bike racing....
Does that mean the cocky wank in the photo won???
Shit.
Get well.
Curbs suck.
Hope you both feel better soon.
J
Heal up fast Olaf and Pabcid! Sorry to hear about the bikes. More importantly, sorry to hear about the busted bodies. Take care, ya'll.
Tough luck. Heal fast. Titanium plates in the right wrist are not as exciting as you would think. Hope the damage is all superficial.
uh oh! hope nothing's broken.
heal well and soon.
hate when friends crash, pabcid call if you need anything !
imike
At least no light poles were involved!!
Sorry to hear about yer crashes, get better soon.
Hey, it can always be worse, right?
ajm, whenever i start feeling even the slightest bit sorry for myself (and there seems to be plenty of time for that, as i can't seem to sleep), i just think about the horror you suffered through...
oh, and uh, can i borrow spongebob?
VB slept on the drive home? does that mean OV was driving?
hope you boys feel better soon.
well, shoot! I hope you both feel better soon. no fun to read a race report like this....
no, I was driving
good thing there is a starbucks in Patterson
O Boy, whata day!
Having been the Moto behind Mike when he went down was and is a tough one!Lotsa pain in that pavement!
Next race I hear a tire blow in the same area and wondered who was next. Came around the corner and there were the riders picking themselves out of the bushes and trees and Jeff on the pave.So glad there is a Dr. in the house.
My heart goes out to you guys,
Get Well and Be Well!
Will
Damn. Hope you both heal up soon...
El Bummarino,
So you destroyed the frame before I got to see it?
I imagine is was blazing hot, that pavement gets a bit slippy. I remember doing a two wheel slide out of corner 2 in 04'. They had just repaved and it was over 100. That was the same year Billy Clark unweighted his wheel out of the last corner and got a close up view of the gutter.
Sorry to hear about the crashes and pain.
Last year in that race I hit a tiny stone or something and had a blow-out in my front tire going into the last turn. Left me with a separated AC joint-just 10 days before masters track nat's. :-( It's no fun for a sprinter to try sprinting at that level with only one arm.
Something for pain-as needed, and AmbienCR or Halcion for sleeping.
Dang! and I was going to make a trip out to the track this Friday to see Mr. Olaf do the NASCAR thing.
Get well soon.
Ah'd lock ta thank the whole crew for settin up mah back. The numer 36 Vicodin-Ambien-Jack Daniels back was runnin superfast all knat long and the Safeway boyz kept mah fuel topped off in the piit stops. I wuz doin' all ah could just to keep 'er off the wall in the sprints.
I don't like curbs, I prefer crashing into hay bails. Heal fast! I hope to see you at Patterson!
You should have let me catch y'all when I tried to come across - a little fresh meat and you wouldn't have had to scrape the corners so hard. ;)
On the other hand, people were clipping pedals all day, no matter how fast we were going. Weird.
They really need to start making asss-fault a lot softer.....
So, any news on whether you've joined Klodi's cracked coccyx club?
Heal up well Brothers. Since our B line will now have to take to the ice first Tony and I are postponing the weddings so we can train harder. Haven't okay'd with the women yet, but I'm sure they will understand. Shit, out comrades are down, there is no choice... ;)
Asphalt...karma's little debt collector....
MAYO test positive!!

Bummer! I can't wait to see what Millar has to say.
Awwww :-(
Heal fast Olaf!
Yeah, but from what I understand, the test for EPO is a relatively unreliable (relative to other tests that is). Just ask Marion Jones.
I do wonder, though, whether Millar will say anything about the team. He really has nothing to lose, since he is moving over to Slipstream. I liked what he had to say here about the whole doping topic.
taz, crackin me up as usual.
shnykies! heal up quick man!
maybe this will ease the pain my brother, heal quick.
F&%king pro!
http://belgiumkneewarmers.blogspot.com/2007/02/pro.html
ouch. Rest up, heal, take care.
Hey, you and that punk ass bitch friend of yours heal up soon. Racings better with y'all round.
wait, that looks like a left turn - shouldn't you be used to those by now?
perfect timing for your midsummer rest-up for 'cross.
heal fast, brotha.
Bummer on the road rash...
...but I liked vb's description of you in the Rite Aid!
Heal quickly, and get back out there.
