The race needed you. Without it was just a training ride with a few fast spots.
I tried to go solo but got caught with 1.5k to go, sucks.

I thought I saw a CVC just up the road. I hung up the break efforts on the last lap, too many people willing to chase.
I also think it would have worked out differently had the morons not made the failed attempt to neutralize us 10 miles from the finish. Everything was going along just nicely when they did that. Nobody even passed us, it did nothing but screw up our race and put us right into the middle of the Women finishing. We would have caught and passed them long before 5k to go if they would have left us alone.
when i was checking results on sunday, i saw they had BJM listed in the cat 4 results
in 10th or something

i was an official with the ACA over in the rocky mountains.
i'll be one of those officials out there in a few years. but, i've still got racing juice flowing in these veins.
but after seeing the 35M1/2/3 run into the back of the W3/4 finish ... it makes me want to put the stripes back on, something fierce.
i can't tell you how pissed i am that happened. Needless crash. Hard decision to make when your an official out there on the fly, but one you HAVE to make.
period.
But, I'm going to toss a bit of blame on the M1/2/3 field. No race, NO race result is worth risking injury and plowing into the back of an unsuspecting women's field in the final kilometer of a race.
ridiculous.
Wow. Nice sprint. She had it won way before the line. Now she just has to take some bike throwing lessons from Bettini for that extra polish.
