preps

well, it's earlier in the morning than i'd like, but i'm heading over to the crit scene to absorb it all in. maybe i can scalp a wireless hookup and give some insta-feeds throughout the day.

The GC ~

BJM has 18 seconds on Healthnet's Sutherland. That will be a rough one for the Priority Health snappers. I'll be interested to see how they play out their tactics. There's a hundred-plus guys in that field who have no GC aspirations ... but, will any of them have the horsepwer and the timing to send themselves off in the move that takes the pressure off BJM's boys.

Time bonuses may decide this one ... and there are 20 seconds available for the stage win and an intemediary. Interesting.

Webcor is sitting pretty with 1st and 3rd. But, sandwiched in there are Colavita riders, Bausch in 2nd and Powers in 4th. If it were me? I'd be on the offensive from the gun and try and trade off attacks to get one of them away. But, maybe they'll play it conservative and be happy with a podium.

I won't be. In the geriatrics division, i'm going to be wrecking Disco legs today. If they can survive it, they deserve the win. But, they're going to have to ride their asses off to hold me back. But, Hutchinson holds 2nd with a good grip, too. We'll see how he affects the race.

Stage racing sho'nuff is fun.

In the end it was almost a full lap, dayum.

Nice ride by OV...........

For me I took my 7th place GC money and took the family to In-n-Out......goot times.

that was....amazing. an unlikely scenario played out basically due to heart, desire, and good ole raw horsepower (Hernando + Taz = holy crap fast)

I enjoyed this one.

A lot.

It was a really good move, Taz up the road as a decoy and OV jumps across while the Disco boys seem to have thumbs firmly inserted where the sun don't shine.

Or maybe they were each concerned about their individual GC instead of the win.
Tough call on Nolan's part. Had his teammates ridden appropriately marking the break was the wise choice, but hind site he would have been more useful to stay in the pack and chase with Sasser and Hutch.
In hind site I wished I had gone with Taz, one stages mistake could have been the other's move of the day. Oh well, that's racing.
It was a great event, and I am happy with my table scraps and hard workout.
I was pissed at Pab for snaking my $20 prime, but at least that Bobba dork didn't get it, so I forgive him.
