- it's not that i'm a buddhist, or shadow the tao ... or some such crap.
i was never introduced to religion as a young person. The first time i heard of someone believing in other than what you can see and touch gave me a bit of "wha? you think wha?"
but, there were answers sought through the decades and part of them went far east with deep dives. and the concepts of suffering and emptiness hold water with me.
but, in the end ... i just wanna get laid. - time trials suck.
ok, maybe they don't suck ... but they're boring and hard and geeky.
... boring, hard, geeky ~ sounds like a microsoft/viagra double booking at the convention center. - speaking of enhancements ...
with age comes a recognition of the patterns in once's self. an understanding that ~ shit begins, it flourishes, it ... ends.
this awareness begets ~ an appreciation of the fleeting nature of our enjoyments, our pains, our turmoils. it is a knowledge tinged both sweet and ... oppressive.
all things end.
all things begin again.
and so, it is enjoyed ... while it lasts.

Tuesday. Olaf throws it down at the front and the merciless 'weeding out' process begins. The old, the infirm, the pretenders, the welders.....one by one they falter-to be left gasping watching the group ride away. The time has come where one has to train for the training ride, such is the furious pace. The gauntlet has been thrown down......the standard established. all I can say is ouch !
