And so ... we voted.
Being left of the GhandiLama, socialist like Ophelia's midwife, and a deep drinker of the egalitarian draft ... i can't block out fantasies of waking to a sun-filled dawn of dancing blue birds tweetling tunes of peace, prosperity, and panacea.
but, as we know ~ all politics are local, and all locals are selfish sum'bitches who crave power and swim in greed.
the same as it ever was.
ah well ... at least we get to kick Limbaugh in the nutsack a few times.

We are getting closer to political gridlock for the next two years.
Good because "gridlock," if it stopped Bush' momentum of insanity, would be a welcome breath of fresh air.

Chuckles on the Limbaugh visual. Good thing he's got cases of Vicodin on hand.
No increase in the minimum wage in SC? How can people afford their stash now that it is essentially legal to hold the sweet leaf now?
First time the house has been under dem control since '94... that's most of my "voting" life that we've been under the christian curtain. Gridlock it is, tho... I'm still waiting for the dem to step up with a believeable vision. Or any vision. Even better if he or she really means it.
Newsflash from NV -- Mrs. Marshall is the new state Treasurer.

I'm super glad that "The Gays" (tm) were not enough to get the base out to vote for Santorum.
