ya'know, if you smoosh some of that putty into a wee circle,
nice and flat ...
you can press it against stuff and make a little reflection of reality.
it's not the real thing, mind you.
it won't actually be the lips you touched it against -
not as warm or soft ... but it will look alike.
won't have the scent of the tree's bark,
but will show the same etched lines of age.
won't wiggle like your fingers do,
won't be fuzzy like your brows are,
won't hear soft whispers that make you giggle.
it'll just be a reflection.
a limited, one-dimensional way of looking at life.

can't you bounce silly putty too? It would be fun to do a backwards comic thing, and then bounce it.
you have to be careful when you bounce it
cuz it can pick up hairs and stuff from the floor and that makes it icky
nothing worse than putting it back into its egg when its got hairs and grit stuck to it.
I have been imitating myself for years.
Perhaps I am just figment of my imagination.
