back to our regular programming
This morning the commute to work was traffickly snarled.
Hackles raising with each thrusting automobile jerking between lanes, one position 'higher' ... now back to the same lane.
heads twisting, blinkers spasming left and right, as drivers struggle to move ... nowhere.

Over the radio -
a story about the new video game degree at USC.
a story about land mines maiming, shearing, destoying people in the 40+ year war in Columbia between 'marxists' and 'government'. Children with mangled bodies, farmers exploding in the fields they work ... getting rehabed, patched together, asked to live on.
a story about a flu medication linked to Japanese kids jumping off buildings.

A vast amount of information and emotion swirling about our heads, buffeting, invading ...
how to make sense of it all?
this is the luxury of religion.
the calm, insulated puddle of god's will,
to wallow in ...
like a mud-covered idiot singing happily to himself
while the noisy cloppity-clop of life whirls around.

but i am a happy fool, nonetheless.

I like theonion.com news source myself.
I'm calm this morning at work now that I got my longer than normal run prior to work. Both seem harder in reverse order. Excersize has a wonderful sedative effect.
stop listening to all that crap.
morning radio is why we have cd players.
oh yeah, Sputnick, um...
...it's why we have 8-track players...
i heard that story about the flu medication and suicide first thing this morning!
sad kid stories make me uncomfortable.
i had to turn if off. figured the rest wasn't going to be any better.

You drive to work?
There goes my image of you...up in a puff of CO.

We needs us a better opiate.
I was sort of hoping the next post would be a movie review. I am guessing you did not like it.
ended up not seeing it.
lounged at home and vid'd "kiss, kiss, bang, bang" with Val Kilmer and R. Downey Jr.
not bad.
Not bad?
Is that the same as saying it doesn't suck?
