flakey or judicious?

Today's lunch'ervals were derailed by stupidity and old-age. This is the way of things, sometimes.

The plan was to hit-up some sprints during the lunch hour today. However, the kneecaps were talking smack to me and I had to listen hard to figure out if any of it was more than just lazy geezer-groans.

Yeah, turns out the left knee is still a bit tender from turtle-ing it in front of my woman on Sunday.

I'm so cool.

After realizing quick enough that sprints were not available ... I ran a further diagnostic with a few 2 minute surges and learned quick-like that my body was not recovered enough from the weekend's race-training.

Crapola.

... and so, it was another lively recovery spin around the outskirts of LoverMore for me. Another case of having to listen to what the body is saying.

double crapola - what a bother. i know the benefits of recovery, but ...

... sometimes you just want to smack that body into submission.

but not in February ... thank da' lord.

Wednesday it is.

bring it.

Dude, you're intelligent. Glad to hear you weren't following the GP training plan. I think Roll would've done the sprints BECAUSE his knee hurt.....crazy.

it only gets worse....

you know, once I'm in full 6 or 7 races per weekend mode, I need three days of recovery afterward, and three days of rest beforehand.

i need someone to invent a ten day week...

on the commute home tonite, the pegs felt as though tomorrow would be a juicy day. There were 'good sensations' in the legs, as the euroFags would say.

I'm thinking tomorrow will be a hella-yummy bit of bicycling. If not, I'll just have to make up for it with night intervals.

oblivious
what else can you call a person who doesn't even notice that their crank is going to fall off

and it is hard to differentiate the different levels of tired for me

but when my eyelid starts to twitch, i pay attention to that

so i guess i'll skip my intervals tonight

yeah, right
