DieNuba Critters

Feb 20, 2006: racey, racey ... crappy scribbles

Me n' PAB are riding OTF style with some canadian uber-package that had U-23 written all over his big 'ole Quebecois thighs.

So, Zea-lander Glenny Mitchell is chasin me n' da PAB across the city lots of Die-nuba. The CVC blue-train's Bosch and Eropkin are helping him chase us ... but our lead three roll through all-smoothy like and end up lapping the rest of the pack.

Our strategy was pretty straightforward ... keep Mitchell and his fellow chasers away from lapping the pack, too. And ... do what we could do take the race from this genetic mutant kid in orange.

damn powerhouse.

One thing i wasn't too hip on ... kid quebecois rode a bit un-classy like and pipped us for a couple primes ... when, he really might have shared that action (if i'm takin' a half lap pull ... don't pip me for the prime when you've been a'sittin' on most-like ... it's just beer-money, afterall).

Until we lapped the field, the canadian wasn't taking much wind at the front ... and you can't blame him, since it was 2 agin' 1. And, he probably didn't know me n' PAB had already put in a race earlier that day. C'est la vie.

So, i went to work as best I could to keep PAB fresh for the sprint. With about 15 laps to go ... i started to feel the fadeys coming on, serious-like. On lap 11, I had a mini-explosion and almost passed gas. I think "Fleecer" Greer got wind of it, cause she looks disgusted with my butt at the front (btw, this girlie was solid in our pack ... good to see).

I managed to make another go of it at the front until 2 laps to go, but then finally bonkus extremus settled on my shoulders and started gnawing feasty-fiesty and i got myself dropped from the pack on the quick. I pedaled octagons for the final 2 laps and stayed just ahead of Mitchell's gazillion mile per hour sprint for 4th. Up front, PAB made a game of the winning sprint, but the youngster was just that bit too fresh for us. No BagBoy victory ... but still an unbelievable good time.

bike racin' rules.

The lovely VB took a podium in her first crit since a nasty crash-er from a while back.

Courage is sexy.

But goofin' off and having fun is sexiest.

Skibs and Red Lantern could only dream of keeping up with you motorboats but with that type of classy racin', we'd certainly drill ourselves into the ground for you guys (of course we'd be drilled into the ground probably on the first 100yds but its the thought, right?)

Thats some race reportin' Go boys go!

Ov rode SOOO hard for me to try for the win--I felt like a real lame-ass for not coming through. Thanks again, my friend.

And it WAS fun...

Why were you so tired, anyway? Lapping the field twice in one day in two different races should be nothing new for you....

VB, why was he so tired??

I love it....that's what it's all about.

I think he was tired because he spent the time between races cheering and yippying for others instead of eating and putting his feetsies up.

Sort of like the little ride you went on.

I love that you two have your priorities straight. Just love it.
